Approve proposal to reconstruct front wrap-around porch but with the following conditions: only two brackets per porch post, eliminate fretwork cornice. Install new or salvaged window in existing opening on 3rd Street side on first level. Replace front 3 doors facing front with half lite wood doors. MUST BE APPROVED BY MPC HISTORIC PRESERVATION PLANNER PRIOR TO INSTALLATION: Sawnwork pattern and size for the balusters and brackets, and square chamfered porch posts and fence design.

Existing garage doors may be repaired, or salvaged or wood-faced metal doors may be installed. Doors to be side-opening. Proposed windows on north side addition (Cornelia side) may be reduced from two to one double-hung, or may retain existing window in place or relocate to higher center, or install new single-lite (no muntins) window of the same size as existing.

6-M-13-HZ Approved as Modified

Install THREE (3) wood double-hung windows instead of 2 on east side of porch. Install glass transom and sidelight surround along with new door on north side of porch.

6-N-13-HZ Approved

Expand existing garage on east and north sides by 4 feet each direction. Raise height of walls by 10" and retain 6/12 roof pitch. Match existing brick and add shingle siding to match that on house. Asphalt shingle roof. Retain the existing wood garage doors. Add vented soffits and ridge with roll top.
