Level II. Replacement/repair

Work description for 5 buildings: The William Blount Mansion with 3 associated outbuildings and the Craighead-Jackson House located across the driveway to the east of the Mansion.

Work on the exterior consists of roof replacement with new Alaskan yellow cedar grade "A" clear heartwood 100% edge grain shingles. Thickness: handsplit or hewn and rehewn 1/2" butt minimum with sawn taper to 1/4" min. Length: +/- 26". Shingle exposure and width to be field-verified to match existing.

Existing copper gutters and downspouts to be repaired or replaced. Flashings: Lead-coated copper. Roof work & downspout repair will take place on all ?ve buildings.

Some excavation will be required to run a new electrical service, new electrical conduit for exterior power, and a new water line for a new ?re protection system in the "mansion". The existing main distribution panel on the of?ce outbuilding will be removed and a new main distribution panel will be installed in the basement of Blount Mansion.
