Actions from the May 2014, meeting

4-F-14-HZ Approved

Remove late-added siding materials from rear addition to expose original porch;
Remove late-added external stairs to second floor;
Remove satellite dishes from property;
Replace collapsing chain link fence that surrounds the property with a period fence;
Re-install siding on rear porch to match that on the rest of the house. Re-install balustrade on rear stoop with square 2x2 balusters at 36 inches high.

Repairs to rear addition:
replace window sill and rotted trim around door
replace inadequate flashing around windows
replace metal coping cap
replace rotted stoop with new concrete stoop

Replace 4-5 boards on front porch with in-kind flooring and paint. Surface boards are on a subfloor of wood, replace wood around base of column. Replace 3 siding boards and paint. Install window screens and full light storm door. Screens to have baked enamel finish. Storm door to be full-light.

Install 12-foot-wide wooden shed not visible from right-of-way. Add foilage or lattice to base of shed as space allows.

addition of a new pre-engineered flat metal canopy with tie back rods and an integral gutter/downspout system. All components will be matte black to match the existing storefront and columns which will remain intact. The connection to the building façade will be four tie-back rod locations and the two downspouts that will run down the interior face of the existing building columns and the corners of the canopy to the two columns on each end of the facade. The canopy is intended to cover the outdoor dining area which is 10' x 25' in size. The canopy is intended to have small surface-mounted LED lighting with dimmers on the underneath side to illuminate the dining tables. A black metal café surround with horizontal rails is to be installed around the café area as per sumbmitted drawings. The existing gooseneck lighting and signage area will be retained with a new sign applied (approved indicated in submitted façade drawing). The specs for the tiebacks of the awning shall be approved by City and MPC staff.
