1) The front façade and the porch were damaged/ destroyed by fire in April 2014.
2) Photo-documentation of the recent former porch and house façade exists to assist in recreation the façade elements.
3) The proposed in-kind replacement of elements with wood materials and like design meets the design guideline recommendations.
4) The existing columns are non-original round fiberglass columns that are slightly too small in diameter for the proportions of the porch. Fiberglass/polymer
replacement material for porch columns has been found to sufficiently convey wood material when painted for side porch columns within the ONK district. No historic material will be lost by replacing the current columns.
5) The twin attic-windows are not original and were not spaced appropriately to complement the other sets of twin windows on the facade. The proposed
5-1/2"-spacing is in keeping with the other sets of windows.
