APPROVE Certificate No. 40110ONK. Proposals are consistent with adopted Old North Knoxville Design Guidelines. Balcony will be visible from E Oklahoma, but not intrusive; door opening exists now.

By action of Knoxville Historic Zoning Commission on 4/15/2010, approvals include:

1) Tuckpoint foundation as needed using the prescribed cement mixture;
2) Redesign and replace window on front gable of house - The current window dimensions are 36x62. Proposed is to resize window to approximately 36x36 and install as first preference of owner a wood casement window, or to install a two over two wood double hung window;
3) Repair or replace wood bead board front porch ceiling in kind;
4) Replace non-approved trim installed on house with appropriately sized solid wood trim on front 1/3 of house from Oklahoma elevation back on both sides by June 15, 2011; replace remainder of non-approved trim on house with wood trim by January 25, 2012.
5) Replace unapproved vinyl windows on front 1/3 of house from Oklahoma elevation back on both sides with appropriately sized wood one over one replacement windows by June 15, 2011; replace remainder of vinyl windows on house with appropriately sized wood one over one replacement windows by January 25, 2012.

One and one-half story frame with asbestos shingle wall covering Hip roof with lower cross gables, asphalt shingle covering. Double hung one over one and missing windows. One story two-thirds front porch with replacement metal columns and railing. Stuccoed foundation. Irregular plan. Projecting bay on south elevation. Exterior wooden stair on east elevation.


Applicant has installed vinyl double hung windows and intends to replace them with wood double hungs.
