Repair or rebuild foundation and piers with matching brick and mortar using Preservation Brief No. 2; build 4' x 4' rear deck; build new front porch to match existing porch to west on identical house; replace/repair fascia, corner trim and attic vent to match original; repair/replace gutters; install replacement windows as necessary to match original; install storm windows, color clad to match trim paint color; repair existing doors and install new front door.

Queen Anne Cottage (c.1900)

One story frame with weatherboard wall covering. Hip roof with lower cross gables, asphalt shingle covering and lunette attic vent. Windows were removed at the time of designation but have since been replaced with one over one double hung windows. Original one story two-thirds front porch was removed shortly after designation, but matched the house to the west (407 Deaderick) with turned woo dcolumns, arched frieze and sawn wood balustrade. Interior offset brick chimney. Brick foundation. Irregular plan.


The Department of Community Development has specified details that will recreate the original appearance of the house.
