Level II. Replacement/repair

Level I: Replace front gable window, using original three sash horizontal window; repair wood siding and trim as necessary. (Level I Certificate issued 7/10/2009. Level II portion will be heard at 8/21/2009 HZC meeting.)
Level II: Revise rear porch enclosure roof to move hip to south side of roof line, increasing interior height but not altering footprint of building.

Site Info

One and one-half story frame with asbestos shingle wall covering. Hip roof with lower cross gables, asphalt shingle covering, fishscale pattern wood shingles in eaves. One story wrap around front and side porch with round wood columns with Doric capitals. One story projecting bay on west elevation. Double hung one over one windows and paired windows on front elevation with leaded transoms. Interior offset stuccoed chimney. Brick foundation. Irregular plan.

A Level I Certificate for repair and reinstallation of the gable windows was issued on 7/10/2009. The proposed alteration of the roof shape are at the rear of the house, not visible from the street, as recommended in the design guidelines and is necessary to correct a ceiling height problem created when the original enclosure was constructed many years ago.
