Remove aluminum siding; repair or replace first floor porch balustrade in kind; repair balcony balustrade either as exists or to match spindles on first floor; repair beadboard ceilings; repair flooring on porches; install or repair gutters; clean masonry ortuckpoint using low Portland contnt mortar; repair or replace porch columns and capitls in kind; reshingle portions of roof as necssary; repair or replace windows in kind except for front corner window under porch overhang, which will be fitted with stained glass panels to blend with existing front stained glass window.

Two story frame with aluminum siding. Hip roof with lower cross gables and asphalt shingle roof covering. Double hung two over two and Queen Anne over one windows. One story front and side wrap around porch with round wood columns with Scamozzi capitals, second story balcony with weatherboard replacement balustrade. Interior offset brick chimney. Brick foundation. Irregular plan. Bay window on front façade. Roof shape, porch details and interior plan suggest that this might be a George F. Barber design.


Certificate of Appropriateness issued 6/23/99 because of consistency with guidelines. Commission ratification requested.
