Level II. Replacement/repair

Replace failed double-pane shop windows, reducing number of windows from 12 to 4 by removing central dividing mullion. Transoms and kick panels will remain unchanged. There will now be four storefront windows tall enough to cover the distance from the kick panels to the bottom of the transoms; three will be on the left side of the entry and one on the right side; each will be tall enough to stretch from kick panel to transom, divided where the transom lines are now divided.

One half of two story brick, two bay building. Arched second story windows, corbelled arched window hoods, corbelled brick cornice. Storefront altered c. 1985.

The first occupants of these buildings were two dry goods stores, S. W. Flenniken and Strong & Co. Various clothing and shoe stores continued to occupy the buildings until the 1960s, when they housed a tobacco store and a florist. By the 1980s, a shoe store (Mavis Shoes) occupied #22, and a restaurant could be found at #24.
