Rehabilitate building exterior, repair or replace doors & windows in kind, adding rear section with clerestory window on roof, air handling unit on roof, pave parking lot, install sign, demolish inappropriate rear addition, remove brick covering existing marble kick plates on front façade, restore marble panels; repair existing copper storefront frame, replace glass in storefront and uncover transom, repair gutters, repair existing security grills on side windows, reroof, repoint brick as necessary using Preservation Brief No. 2.
Rogers Bulding/Wylie Hardware. Two story brick with two bay façade and concrete block rear addition. Flat roof with front parapet., tile coping. Contrasting color brick lintels linked with contrasting brick above second story windows and at corbelled brick recessed panels above second story. Altered storefront with brick covering existing marble kick panels. Brick foundation. Rectangular plan.
This building has been abandoned or underutilized and in poor repair since the area was designated an H-1 overlay. It is the last commercial building on Western to be occupied and rehabilitated.
