Demolish second story additions on the rear (structurally unsound) and garage; reconstruct one story rear addition (not visible from Eleanor) on footprint of existing two story structure; construct shallow pitched front gable garage roof (match house in terms of slope and house roof); construct pergola joining house and garage at rear.

TEMPORARY APPROVAL to demolish rear addition on house, which is tilting and in danger of collapse, and on garage, which is not original. Reroof and remove aluminum soffit covering.

One story frame with stucco wall covering. Telescoping front gable roof with brackets. One over one double hung windows. One story one-half front porch with brick columns, side entry with brick buttresses. Exterior side brick chimney. Rectangular plan.


NOTE: Commission is asked to RATIFY Certificate No. 416034&GB issued for demolition of the second story of the addition and of the garage. Commission is asked to APPROVE the remainder of the Certificate which will allow reconstruction of the rear addition and of an appropriately roofed garage and its pergola. Both modifications will result in a structure that more nearly conforms to the original design and is more appropriate, as well being structurally sound.
