APPROVE. House is a contributing structure damaged by fire and neglect. Contemplated work is consistent with Old North Knoxville Design Guidelines and will help to stabilize property values on Oklahoma and will strengthen the historic neighborhood.

Replace asphalt shingle roof in-kind; repair damaged soffit, trim, siding and windows, in-kind; remove existing damaged porch and rebuild in exact replica, reusing existing columns; repair or replace gutters as necessary; repair foundation and chimneys and repoint as necessary, using Preservation Brief No. 2.


Queen Anne Cottage (c.1910)

One story frame with weatherboard wall covering. Steeply pitched hip roof with side gable, asphalt shingle covering. Double hung one over one windows. One story wrap around front and side porch with Ionic capitals on round wood columns, replacement sawn wood balustrade. Brick foundation, raised to two story height in rear. Irregular plan. Sidelights and transom at front entry (covered).
