Site Info

Altered Queen Anne (c.1900)

Two story frame with vinyl siding wall covering. Hip roof with lower cross gables and asphalt shingle roof. Replacement double hung vinyl windows. One story wrap around front and side porch with square posts and lattice balustrade.

Applicant has not requested wood double hung windows on front façade. The front façade will be visible; the windows may need repair following the move. Even if they do not, Oak Street's buildings are all restored or maintained with consistent details; wood double hung windows that are visible on the front façade will bring the house into conformance with the architectural details of Mechanicsville.
