811 Gratz is one of three new lots created by the City from the larger parcel that contained McCallie School. The house was selected as a result of a competitive process that required the applicants to follow the design guidelines and incorporate historically appropriate materials; a committee that selected the new buildings included Duane Grieve, city officials, neighborhood residents and me.
