The BridgeCourt (Bel Air) apartment complex is non-contributing in the Ft. Sanders NC-1. There is pre-existing parking. In reworking the buildings, the applicant has indicated that some landscaping will be introduced, as well as the stair towers and improvements to the interior courtyard space. These additions will improve the appearance of the property. The applicant has provided for landscaping areas on the property, but has not specified plant materials. In the attached memo, Mike Carberry, MPC Principle Planner, recommends that deciduous shade trees including willow oaks or red maples, as well as American holly or magnolias, be used. Mr. Carberry has also indicated locations for extra planting areas.
