5) Do not place solar collectors or modern skylights on roof areas that are visible from the street and do not install them where thery interfere with decorative roof elements.

The northwest-facing slope of the roof is not viewable from the public r-o-w. Installation of panels on that slope will not be visible and will not interfere with any trimwork or decorative roof elements on the garage.
The southeast-facing slope of the roof is visible from the public sidewalk and the street; however, the garage is situated to the rear of the lot. The garage roof would be much less visible from the southeast angle when foliage is on the trees.
