The project consists of proposed renovations to the existing 1960s facility (formerly a public library branch building) and a small addition to improve its current function as the Larry Cox Senior Center.
The existing windows and entrance doors will be replaced with energy efficient windows within the same openings. The proposed 960 square-foot addition will serve as a new entrance facing the existing parking and adjacent library. It will include accessible restrooms, lobby, and small office space. Materials chosen for the addition will compliment the existing brick by utilizing a single color brick from the multi-color brick of the existing building. The new additional leaves the existing building intact while facilitating the functions of the current senior center.
