Victorian Vernacular Commercial (c.1900)

Western Heights Hardware. Two story brick with two bays. Flat roof with front parapet, tile coping. Contrasing color brick lintels linked with contrasting brick above second story windows and at corbelled brick recessed panels above second story. Altered storefront. Brick foundation. Rectangular plan.


This storefront was altered and boarded over prior to the H-1 designation of Mechanicsville. When the current rehabilitation oncovered the original configuration of the storefront, the owners decided to submit this design, which respects the original entry location and recesses that were present when the building was constructed.
