Site Info

Neoclassical with Bungalow influence. (c.1910)

One story frame with weatherboard wall covering. Hip roof with hipped dormers, asphalt hsingle covering. Double hung one over one window and four over two pivoting attic windows. One story full front porch with paired wood posts on brick piers, wood enclosed balustrade. Two brick chimneys, one exterior end and one interior offset. Brick foundation. Rectangular plan. Recessed transom and sidelights.

The adjacent property owner is understandably frustrated with the lack of progress in rehabilitating this structure. The house was vacant when the neighborhood was designated H-1. In the intervening years, the property owner has completed foundation work, but no work has been attempted in the past several years. If work is not commenced soon, the house will reach the point of being unsalvageable. Codes enforcement has been in contact with the owner, and is trying to encourage her to begin work again, or to acquire the property through blighted property status.
