Level I: Install new roof, repairing deck; repair wood siding in kind. Level II: Reinstall new front porch that mimics original Barber design; restore original rear porch (now enclosed); restore side porch to original configuration; replace original roof cresting; tuckpoint masonry as necessary.

One-story one-0half front porch with square wood columns. One -story one bay rear porch with turned wood columns, sawn wood trim and lattice. Double- hung one- over- one and Queen Anne windows. Brick stuccoed foundation. Irregular plan. Original George Barber Design No. 40 in "Cottage Souvenir No. 2" known as the residence of F. E. McArthur (documentation attached).
Applicant proposes to restore much of the original appearance of the George F. Barber-design McArthur Residence, returning a long neglected building to its historical architectural appearance.
