Site Info

Colonial Revival (c.1900)

Two story frame with weatherboard wall covering. Hip roof with hipped front dormer with three double hung one over one windows. One over one double hung windows. One story full hipped roof front porch with round wood collumns with Ionic capitals, turned wood balustrade. Interior offset rear brick chimney. Concrete block foundation. Rectangular plan for original structure. Attached one story side gable garage to rear (west) elevation. Covered second story access stair on rear..

This building was apparently built as a two family dwelling, and was moved to this location from further east on Third Avenue at the time of construction of I-40. The changes to the rear of the structure and the use of a concrete block foundation apparently took place at that time. The applicant has recently purchased the building and intends to use it as a single family dwelling.
