Knoxville Housing Partnership is rehabilitating this house for purchase by an owner-occupant as part of their Parkridge Initiative. In order to determine the extent to which they would need to repair siding, KHP has removed the asbestos shingles, since they knew those were not historic fabric, and did not know they needed to receive prior permission from the Commission for the removal. The work items requested by KHP reflect the condition of the wood siding after the shingles were removed. KHP has indicated that they wish to install a railing on the porch, but at the time of preparation of the staff report, was not sure the design form that the new railing would take. That information should be available by October 16, 2003.
