Savannah Robertson Joins Planning Staff

Savannah grew up in Oak Ridge, later moving to Chattanooga to attend the University of Tennessee – Chattanooga.

She graduated in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in education, focusing on math and science. After graduation she made her way back home, teaching math at Rockvale and Soddy Daisy Middle Schools.

Those math skills have served Savannah well since she left teaching. She transitioned into hospitality, and most recently managed the downtown Knoxville Juice Bar. She enjoyed being involved in the operational side of things, focusing on budgets, executing goals, and marketing. She was also involved in outreach and establishing relationships in the community.

These skills have been an asset to Smart Trips as Savannah gets settled in her new role. She is hard at work immersing herself in the program and introducing herself to members, employers, and community partners. In her short time here, she has already updated the branding and is looking for ways to improve processes and reach more people. Savannah is handling day-to-day operations, attending events throughout the area, supporting employers, and implementing new programs.

Outside of work, Savannah can be found staying active in her North Knoxville neighborhood. She practices yoga, runs, follows a vegetarian diet and is a self-proclaimed health freak. You’re also likely to find her supporting the University of Tennessee Volunteers.

Welcome to the team, Savannah!
