Major Road Plan Adopted
The Major Road Plan was approved by MPC on September 13, 2018.
It then was adopted by County Commission on October 22 and City Council on October 23. This Plan is periodically updated to account for changes to the road network and to reflect current transportation plans and their identified projects.
The previous plan was adopted in 2011 and served as the starting point for this update. Changes that were made to the roadway classifications and associated right-of-ways are summarized in Appendix D of the updated plan.
The Plan can be found below and in the Plans and Studies section of MPC’s website. There is now also a new KGIS map layer, labeled as Right-of-Way and Functional Classifications, which can be found within MPC Cases.
