Major Road Plan Available for Comment
The Major Road Plan is updated periodically to account for changes to the road network such as new roadways that have been built, and to reflect current transportation plans and their identified projects.
The previous plan was adopted in 2011 and served as the starting point for this update. Changes that were made to the roadway classifications and associated right-of-ways are summarized in Appendix D of the updated plan.
All changes with the Major Road Plan are scheduled to be presented at MPC’s September Agenda Review meeting on Tuesday, September 11, 2018. This meeting is open to the public and will be held in the Small Assembly Room of the City County Building, 400 Main St., Knoxville, TN 37902.
