Changes to porches visible from the primary streetStaff recommends approval of the request based on the following reasons:
1. The proposal is in compliance with Infill Housing Guidelines.
2. The existing post-and-rail system is out of character with the architectural style of the house and is not appropriate. The proposed system is more aligned with the architectural character of the house.

The applicant is proposing the following changes to the front porch:
1. Replace metal railing with wood composite railing and balusters (Tamco Building Products' Tam-Rail Railing System in white)
2. Replace full-height, thin, metal posts on the brick piers at the outer corners of the porch with full-height, 6" x 6" wood composite posts
3. Replace full-height, thin, metal posts at the terminus of the stairs with 4" x 4" wood composite posts at railing height
4. Repair and repaint brick foundation
